Beginning with all FHA case numbers ordered on or after April 1, 2012 – FHA will be increasing mortgage insurance premiums!!!!
1. The upfront mortgage insurance premium (the portion that is rolled in and financed with the loan) will be increasing from its current 1.0% to 1.75%. On a $100,000 loan that is $750 more financed into the loan!
2. The annual mortgage insurance premium (the part that is paid monthly with the payment) will be increasing from its current 1.15% to 1.25%. Now .10% may not make that much difference but why give the government more than we have to right now!!! |
